Take a stroll through the Village Green Park and see the Old Log Cabin, which was built in the early 1800s and is one of the oldest buildings in the area. Another must-see is the Elisha Morgan Mansion, a stunning Greek Revival-style home that belonged to one of the first settlers in Fairfield. You can even take a guided tour to learn more about the history of this beautiful estate. Take a trip to the past
Looking to dive even deeper into Fairfield’s history? Then head to the Lane Hooven House, also known as the Fairfield Heritage Association Museum. This beautifully restored Victorian home features exhibits and interactive displays that showcase the history and culture of Fairfield. You can also take a walking tour of the property to get a better sense of what life was like for early settlers in the area. Discover local gems
If you want to experience the charm of old Fairfield, take a stroll through the historic downtown area. You’ll find many unique shops and restaurants housed in historic buildings. For a taste of traditional German fare, head to The Wunderbar, a German pub housed in a former mercantile building from the late 1800s.
