Located in the heart of Murrieta, this 2.6-mile trail takes you through lush green spaces, beautiful lakes, and a peaceful park. This trail is perfect for families with kids as it is not too strenuous and offers plenty of picnic spots along the way. You can also rent paddle boats or kayaks to explore the serene lakes. Don't forget to keep an eye out for the resident ducks and turtles that call this trail their home.
Thompson Creek Trail
For those seeking a more challenging hike, Thompson Creek Trail is a must-visit. This 5-mile loop trail is rated moderate and offers stunning views of the city and surrounding mountains. Along the way, you will encounter wildflowers, small streams, and even some wildlife. The best time to visit is during sunrise or sunset when the sky turns into a beautiful canvas of colors.
