Founded in 1835, Collierville is a small town located in the heart of Tennessee, just 30 minutes from Memphis. The town's name comes from its founder, Maj. Nathan Bedford Forrest, who named it "Coleman-ville" in honor of his good friend, George R. Coleman. However, the name was later changed to Collierville to avoid confusion with another town in Tennessee. Today, Collierville boasts a rich history and a charming downtown that can be explored and enjoyed by visitors of all ages.
