Wright Park
The park features a variety of stunning gardens, including a beautiful rose garden with over 1,000 flower varieties, a Japanese garden complete with a pagoda and a koi pond, and a fragrant herb garden.
In addition to its lush greenery, Wright Park also has a playground, picnic areas, and a performance stage, making it the perfect place for families to relax and enjoy an afternoon together. Aside from its natural beauty, Wright Park also has a rich history.
It was designed by renowned landscape architect Edward Otto Schwagerl and opened to the public in 1886, making it one of the oldest parks in Tacoma.
The park is also home to a number of historic landmarks, including the W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory, built in 1908, and the War Memorial, honoring Tacoma residents who served in World War I.
