HIstoric Old Fort
The fort, originally known as Fort Miami, was built by the British in 1815 during the War of 1812. However, it was later taken over by American troops and renamed Fort Wayne in honor of General "Mad" Anthony Wayne. The fort served as a crucial trading post and defense against Native American attacks during this time.
