The Library Sports Grille & Brewery: A Local Favorite in Laramie, WY

History and Atmosphere: The Library Sports Grille & Brewery has been a go-to spot for Laramie locals and out of town visitors alike since its opening in 1997. The restaurant is located in the historic Albany Hotel building, which adds to its charm and character. The interior is cozy and inviting, with exposed brick walls and vintage sports memorabilia adorning the walls. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, making it the perfect place for a casual lunch or a night out with friends.

Cuisine and Menu: The Library offers a diverse menu that caters to all types of tastes. From pub-style appetizers like loaded nachos and wings, to soups, salads, burgers, and entrees like fish and chips and specialty sandwiches, there is something for everyone. The highlight of the menu, however, is the selection of handcrafted beers brewed on-site. With rotating seasonal flavors and a wide range of styles, beer lovers will not be disappointed. And for non-beer drinkers, the full bar also offers a variety of cocktails and spirits.

Local Collaboration: The Library takes pride in showcasing and collaborating with local businesses and artists. The restaurant regularly hosts live music events and has a rotating selection of art from local artists displayed on the walls. They also partner with local farmers and suppliers to source their ingredients, making their dishes even more authentic and fresh.

Positive Review: I had the pleasure of dining at The Library for the first time last weekend and I can confidently say it won't be my last. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We started with their signature loaded nachos and I could tell why they are a fan favorite. For our entrees, my husband had the fish and chips and I had the BBQ bacon burger, both of which were delicious and cooked to perfection. And of course, we couldn't leave without trying their house-brewed beer, which did not disappoint. The overall atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant was just fantastic, and I loved seeing the local collaboration in action. I can see why The Library has been a staple in Laramie for over 20 years and will definitely be recommending it to any out of town visitors looking for a taste of Wyoming hospitality and cuisine.
