Aberdeen, Washingon is located in Grays Harbor County and called the "Gateway to the Olympic Peninsula." The city's name reflects its Scottish fishing port namesake of Aberdeen cause it also situated at the mouth of two rivers. The region is rich with history that can best be discovered and remembered at The Aberdeen Museum of History. A favorite exhibit is the Kurt Cobain walking tour where you can learn his uprising to the famed band Nirvana. After the museum visit Kurt Cobian Memorial Park also known as Kurt Cobain Landing, the first full-scale memorial in his hometown. 

Just outside of town is Westport Winery Garden Resort, look for the lighthouse and you've known you arrived. Backstage Winemaker's Tour is every Saturday, and tasting room, bakery, gardens are open daily. Sample over 30 wines and hard ciders all while enjoying incredible food.
