With so many opportunities for fun, Chattanooga is the perfect place to take the family!  Feed the penguins at the Tennessee Aquarium, and enjoy both their freshwater and saltwater exhibits.  At the Creative Discovery Museum, the kids can dig for dinosaur bones, create art, and learn from interactive educational displays.  Tennessee River Park allows visitors to walk the river taking in the sights and nature, while also offering fun children’s play areas and water features.

Despite being a large city, Chattanooga provides several venues for getting closer to nature.  Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center boasts 15 miles of trails for walking or driving and viewing an array of wildlife including some wildlife rehabilitation; canoeing on the property is also available.  Audubon Acres and MacLellan Island, North Chickamauga Creek, Enterprise South Nature Park, and Glen Falls Trail all present beautiful scenery for the nature lover as well.

For some history, make sure to stop at Coolidge Park to ride on the Coolidge Park Antique Carousel, or take in some Civil War history at Missionary Ridge.  The US Space and Rocket Center and the Chattanooga National Cemetery are two more attractions you won’t want to miss.
