On the banks of the Sudbury and Assabet Rivers, Concord, Massachusetts has something for you. An extremely historic city, Concord is a great place to visit historic homes, battle sites, parks and so much more.

Founded in the early 17th century, and technically part of Greater Boston, Concord was the site of the Battle of Lexington and Concord during the American Revolutionary. Because of its significance in American history, there are many parks, memorials, historical sites and museums to whet any historian’s appetite.

Home, at one time, to a host of iconic American writers, there is no shortage of historic homes to visit and experience. Whether your interest lies in Louisa May Alcott, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, or any number of other authors, all of their homes have been preserved for visitors. Additionally, you can visit their graves on Author’s Ridge in the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.

With museums, historic sites, and even the arbors for the original Concord grape, Concord is an historic and fascinating New England town.
