Holden is a quaint town less than 10 miles northwest of Worcester.  It boasts several historic sites, many outdoor activities, and a local flavor that makes it impossible to miss!

Eagle Lake also has a wildlife sanctuary with wetlands and a mature red oak forest. The sanctuary is 362 acres and has numerous hiking trails.  Trout Brook Recreation Area, another nature preserve in Holden, subsists of 660 acres with hiking and biking trails. 

Housed in Damon Memorial Building, which was bestowed upon the city in 1888 and is on the National Register of Historic Buildings, the Gale Public Library is an extensive library perfect for history buffs and book lovers alike.
