Marinette, Wisconsin is located in Marinette County and is approximately 54 miles north of Green Bay. The city is located along the Menominee River and nestled next to Green Bay making this an excellent boating and fishing destination. The area is known to host fishing derbies and sailboat races throughout the year. Other favorite events include the Marinette Lodging and Heritage Fest occurring in mid-July, Sunset Concert Series, and Productions from Theatre on the Bay. 

Take the family out to Seagull Bar State Natural Area for a fun-filled day outdoors. Here on this sand spit is the only true dune complex along Green Bay and offers tremendous, beautiful backdrop. The rich dune flora is a photographers dream come true. Other activities permitted are hiking, fishing, cross-country skiing, hunting, and trapping. 

Another popular outdoors destination in the area is Stephson Island Park. Located in the middle of the Menominee River and connected via a footbridge. The island is home to the Marinette's Civil War memorial and also hosts the Sunset Concert Series during the summer.
