Head outside of town for some drag racing at Auto Club Famoso Raceway host to the annual March Meet aka the U.S. Fuel and Gas Championships. The track is located on an abandoned Army Airfield and now lives again as an established legitimate drag strip bringing together fun and family from the region. Head to another fun filled place West of McFarland at the Kern National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge has a 6-mile autoroute leading around and through some of the wetlands with hunting opportunities for waterfowl also available.
