This popular vista point is very busy in the summer and closed during prime daytime hours fro buses, shuttle taxis; best to drive to the southern end view area and parking lot and walk across the bridge to Vista Point. A short drive from Vista Point is another fun filled family favorite destination the Bay Area Discovery Museum. The museum features seven exhibition spaces and six daily drop-in programs for kids ages six months to 10 years old. 

Mill Valley is also known for its outdoor recreation with plenty of places to explore such as Muir Woods National Monument, Old Mill Park, Tennessee Valley and Hill 88. Point Bonita Lighthouse is the secret jewel of the Bay Area and still active and maintained by the U.S. Coast Guard.
