Sagan Planet Walk

The Sagan Planet Walk, located in the scenic town of Ithaca, NY, is a unique and educational experience for tourists and visitors. It is a scale model of our solar system, featuring 11 stations that represent the sun and all of the planets, including Pluto!

Beginning at the center of the Ithaca Commons, tourists can stroll at their leisure and learn about our solar system while soaking in the beautiful sights of Ithaca. Each station is marked with a bronze plaque that provides information about the planet it represents and its place in our universe.

This fascinating walk was created in memory of renowned astronomer and science popularizer, Carl Sagan, who taught at Cornell University in Ithaca.
