During the summer, the park offers guided nature programs for kids, making it a great educational activity as well. Fall Creek Falls is approximately an hour's drive from Cookeville, but the scenic route is worth it.

A moderately challenging hike is required to reach the falls, but the views and experience are well worth it. Keep in mind that swimming and climbing on rocks is allowed, but all visitors must wear a life jacket.
