Aldeen Golf Club is a must-visit for any golf lover, with its challenging course and scenic views. For a budget-friendly option, head to Elliot Golf Course, which offers 18 holes for only $18. Enjoying Nature at Atwood Park and Nature Center
Located just outside of the city, Atwood Park and Nature Center is a hidden gem that offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown. The park spans over 334 acres and features hiking and equestrian trails, a children's playground, and a nature center that hosts educational programs and events. Be sure to keep an eye out for native wildlife, including bald eagles, white-tailed deer, and red-tailed hawks. From scenic trails and water activities to adventure parks and golf courses, Rockford, IL is the perfect destination for outdoor lovers.
