Did you know that the iconic Hollywood sign in California actually has roots in our humble town of Hollywood, NM? That's right, the sign was originally created as a marketing tactic for a real estate development in Hollywood, NM in the early 1920s. Though the development never took off, the sign has remained a beloved symbol of our town's history and is a popular spot for tourists to take photos and soak in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
