As a local of Groves, TX, I am thrilled to welcome you to our charming town.

Groves, originally named "Prairie View," was founded in the early 1900s by lumberman and businessman George E. Hartrick.
His vision to create a thriving community centered around the lumber industry has shaped Groves into what it is today.

Although it may look like a regular park, it holds a special place in our town's history as the site where George E. Hartrick's home once stood.
Another must-visit spot is the scenic Sea Rim State Park, where you can enjoy beach activities, bird watching, and even spot alligators in their natural habitat.

No visit to Groves is complete without trying our signature dish, the "Chicken Fried Steak."
This mouth-watering dish can be found in many local restaurants, including popular spots like Groves Poultry and Deli and Tacos La Bamba.
After a delicious meal, be sure to satisfy your sweet tooth with some homemade cakes and pies from the famous Rao's Bakery.

Aside from the annual Pecan Festival, we also have the Cajun Heritage Festival, which celebrates our Cajun and Creole roots with live music, delicious food, and a crawfish boil.
